A family-friendly community with good schools, leading-edge arts programs, effective children’s services and accessible healthcare is a community where selling homes is easy.
????That’s certainly one reason why builders and developers have for years been leaders in enhancing the region’s quality of life through volunteerism. But there’s more to the story than “doing well by doing good.”
????Indeed, Bay-area builders and developers have embraced a shared philosophy of helping simply for the sake of helping. But you don’t often read about their good works in the newspaper.
Not that the people in our industry who have embraced good causes are doing it for the publicity. Quite the contrary. Still, it seems past time that some of these solid citizens, and the organizations they support, got some kudos.
????That’s the reason behind The Good Neighbor Awards, co-sponsored by Tampa Bay Homebuyer and the Tampa Bay Builders Association. Our sister publication in Jacksonville has sponsored a similar program in Northeast Florida for the past four years and it’s been an incredible tool to foster more volunteerism, publicize deserving beneficiaries and salute those who generously give back to the communities in which they do business.
????To find out more about the upcoming Good Neighbor Awards, please see the application on page 16. If you’re a builder or developer, I hope your company will participate.
????Also in this issue, we continue with our exploration of green building and examine the ways you can organize your garage, your closet or any area where clutter is taking over.
And, as always, we’ve got our huge neighborhood roundup, our up-to-date public- and private-school data and the most thorough new-community directory you’ll find in print or online, anywhere.
????If you’ve been waiting to buy a home, perhaps it’s time to ease off the fence and out into the new communities dotting our coverage area. You’ll find incredible prices and attractive incentives on the most beautiful state-of-the-art homes ever offered in this market.
????It doesn’t cost anything to look—and I think you’ll be impressed at what you find.
