Eagles Crest Community Set to Soar

JES Properties is ramping up for development of Eagle's Crest, a 618-home gated community on 375 acres in northeast Tampa" target="_blank">Hillsborough County. Land development and pre-sales are scheduled to start this summer. Builders are now being chosen for the community, which will include both single-family homes and townhomes with prices expected to range from the low $200s to the $600s.

Morrison Homes and Smith Family Homes will build 307 and 131 single-family homes, respectively, while Westfield Homes will build 180 townhomes. Most home sites will adjoin or overlook conservation areas.

Community amenities planned include a clubhouse, pools, tot lots and nature trails. Two-and-a-half acres near the community will encompass 35,000 square feet of retail space.

Winthrop Village to Debut

Taylor Woodrow this spring plans to start development of a traditional-style community built around a village green lined with shops, restaurants and small businesses.

Winthrop Village, in central Tampa" target="_blank">Hillsborough County, will include 326 homes east of U.S. 301, between Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road. The homes will have front porches and garages off the back accessible by alleys. Prices are expected to range from the mid-$200s to the $600s.

Models, Neighborhoods Open in MiraBay

Bayfair has opened two new townhome models in Anchor Cove, MiraBay's first boardwalk village. The two-story townhomes-each with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms-will be available in three floor plans ranging in size from 2,378 to 2,806 square feet. All will feature covered front porches and two-car garages. Prices for the 36 homes, which overlook a 135-acre manmade lagoon, start in the $420s.

Alvarez Homes has 18 home sites in MiraBay, most on the lagoon or bordering Tampa" target="_blank">Hillsborough County's 1,200-acre Wolf Branch Creek Preserve. Homes, which must have at least 4,200 square feet of living space, will start at $1.5 million.

Old World in New Tampa

Avatar Properties is selling Old World-inspired, luxury townhomes at Cory Lake Isles, a 600-acre Mediterranean-themed community in New Tampa. There are six floor plans available ranging in size from 1,974 to 2,763 square feet of living space, plus garages. Prices start in the high $200s.

Light the Night to Cure Leukemia and Lymphoma

An estimated 3,000 Light the Night walkers at FishHawk Ranch in southern Tampa" target="_blank">Hillsborough County raised more than $150,000 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Suncoast Chapter.

PINELLAS COUNTY

A Contractor for the Oldsmar Galleria

Bollenback Builders has been selected by JES Properties as general contractor for the Oldsmar Galleria, the 59,000-square-foot first phase of Olds Square, a $100 million redevelopment project in downtown Oldsmar.

The four-story Galleria will have shops and restaurants on the first floor, offices on the second floor and condominiums on the second, third and fourth floors. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes are priced starting in the mid-$200s and have 1,000 to 2,000 square feet of living space.

PASCO COUNTY

New Models at Wilderness Lake

Morrison Homes has two new models in the village of Heron's Glen in Wilderness Lake Preserve on U.S. 41 in south-central Tampa" target="_blank">Pasco County. Morrison's two-story, 1,652-square-foot Bellingham model has four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms while the 1,350-square-foot Oxford model has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Prices start in the low-$200s.

New Communities for Seven Oaks

Sales have begun in two new communities at Seven Oaks in southeast Tampa" target="_blank">Pasco County: Crosswinds, Knollpoint and Stone Creek. Smith Family Homes will build in Crosswinds, Westfield Homes at Knollpoint and IH New Tampa Homes in Stone Creek.
