Clubby Communities
The MiraBay Club has won a gold Best in American Living award from the National Association of Home Builders and Professional Builder magazine for its interior design. The 10,000-square-foot clubhouse, spa and sports and fitness center is the centerpiece of South Shore, a MiraBay neighborhood being developed by Newland Communities. Nearby, the active-adult community of Southshore Falls, being developed by Centex Homes, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new clubhouse. Two pools, a fitness center, a putting green and bocce ball courts are part of the complex. Construction has begun on the lakeside lodge at Stonelake Ranch in Thonotosassa. The facility will feature wraparound porches, a stacked stone exterior and copper roofing. Stonelake Ranch welcomed its first residents this spring.

Bay Park to Debut
Metro Development Group has introduced Bay Park, a 207-acre community slated for 822 single-family homes priced from the $180s to the low-$300s. Many home sites will overlook ponds and conservation areas. Bay Park is located near E.G. Simmons Park, which has a public beach, picnic areas and fishing pier. Maronda Homes is the exclusive builder in the neighborhood of Venetian at Bay Park, which will contain 284 single-family homes priced from the $180s to the $300s.

Sabal Homes Builds in FishHawk Ranch
In the master-planned community of Fishhawk Ranch, Sabal Homes has released 24 home sites in the neighborhood of Ternwood. Four new floor plans are being offered and home prices range from the $580s.

PINELLAS COUNTY

Waterfront Townhomes Come to Tarpon Springs
A private waterfront boardwalk and community dock are planned for Callista Cay, a community of 62 modern-Mediterranean townhomes being built on a scenic canal off the Anclote River in Tarpon Springs. Deacon Wright is the developer. Prices start in the $400s.

Clearwater Beach Goes Up
Sales have begun in Flamingo Bay, with 25 waterfront condominiums and two waterfront townhomes on Clearwater Beach. Homes will range in size from 1,694 to over 2,700 square feet and prices will start in the mid-$800s. Rogers Beach Development is the developer.

PASCO COUNTY

New Homes for Seven Oaks
Standard Pacific Homes has begun sales of 96 single-family homes within the Seven Oaks neighborhood of Knollpoint in Wesley Chapel. Six three- to four-bedroom floor plans are offered, ranging in size from 1,570 to 2,566 square feet. Prices start in the high $200s. Standard Pacific Homes is the new name for Westfield Homes, which has been acquired by the national builder. Also in Seven Oaks, McCar Homes will build 55 single-family homes in the neighborhood of Grassglen. Construction is already under way now on four inventory homes priced from $365,000 to $465,000; all are expected to be available for occupancy later this summer. In addition, Mercedes Homes is building 92 townhomes in the neighborhood of Silver Leaf. Three floor plans are being offered, priced from the mid-$200s. And Smith Family Homes is building 54 single-family homes in the neighborhood of Crosswinds. Prices range from the high $340s.

Stonegate Set to Open
Southern Crafted Homes this spring began building the private, gated community of Stonegate on S.R. 54 near the Suncoast Parkway. Twenty-one home designs, ranging in price from the upper-$200s to over $600,000, are being offered in five villages. Amenities include a clubhouse with beach-entry pool and playground, nature trails and fishing ponds.

Clubhouse for Champions
A $4-million, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse has opened at Champions' Club in southwest Tampa" target="_blank">Pasco County. With a fitness center, competition pool and tennis courts, the clubhouse is the recreational centerpiece of this exclusive, gated, golf course community.

Sales Pace Brisk at Bridgeview
KB Home is reporting blistering sales in WaterGrass, a 2,000-lot community in southeast Tampa" target="_blank">Pasco County. Nineteen floor plans are offered and prices start in the $220s. Sales in Phase Two will begin this fall.
