New home community and builder news throughout the West Coast.

PROMOTIONS
Southern Crafted Homes is running an advertising campaign called Home for the Holidays, which allows buyers to choose from move-in-ready homes in three communities and to receive assistance with closing costs. The builder has also been selected through Homes for Troops to build a new home for Staff Sgt. Juan Roldon, who lost both his legs following an IED explosion in Iraq. That project dovetails nicely with Southern Crafted’s ongoing drive to assist Treats for Troops and Support Our Troops. Both groups are aiming to ship 140,000 care packages to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan by Christmas.

Del Webb is inviting active adults to “Stay and Play” at its Southshore Falls community in Apollo Beach. Sean Strickler, vice president of sales and marketing for the Central Florida Division of Del Webb, says guests can stay for as low as $79 per night at the Resort and Club at Little Harbor. The Stay and Play program also includes a welcome basket complete with snacks, towels and a bottle of wine. Guests receive a gift certificate for lunch or dinner at a local restaurant and full use of the community and its amenities. For reservations, call (888) 496-4071.

NEW MODELS
More than 250 Sawgrass residents recently turned out for a preview party hosted by Neal Communities. The event gave residents an advance look at the builder’s furnished Oakmont and Stonebridge models. Neal became the exclusive builder at Sawgrass after acquiring the community’s 79 remaining lots from Synovus Bank. Seven new floorplans ranging in size from 2,276 to 3,262 square feet, many facing the lake or golf course, are being offered starting at $274,990.

Homes by WestBay has started work on its third model home in the award-winning waterfront community of MiraBay. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom Amelia model, with 2,421 square feet of living space, also includes a bonus room and a three-car tandem garage. The two-story design, priced from $289,900, is in the neighborhood of Lagoon Cove. Built in a coastal architectural style, the Amelia provides a wide front porch that can be expanded to wrap around the entire front of the home. A foyer with a tray ceiling greets guests followed by a gallery that leads to a gourmet island kitchen adjoining the home’s dining area and family room. The spacious master suite features a 10-foot ceiling, two walk-in closets, his-and-her vanities, a Roman-style tub and a separate shower. A staircase off the kitchen leads to another bedroom and bath upstairs, as well as a bonus room.
