This home had a huge backyard but not much in it. So the homeowners asked Cannon Construction Company to add a pool and an outdoor pool pavilion where they could spend time with family and entertain friends. The 60-by-20-foot structure, designed by Craig Araujo at Keystone Drafting and Design, includes a fireplace, a pool bath and a custom-designed outdoor kitchen with an island and a raised bar. Alfresco appliances supplied by Florida Builder Appliances include include high-temp stainless steel main burners, an integrated rotisserie with built-in motor, an infrared burner, a smoker with a dedicated burner and an oversize wood chunk drawer. A dual sideburner is ideal for boiling pasta, sautéing vegetables or simmering sauces. The all-weather Alfresco refrigerator is made of all-welded commercial stainless steel construction. The homeowner wanted a rustic lodge feeling, and that was accomplished via exposed trusswork and a pine tongue-and-groove ceiling with black hardware. A floor-to-ceiling stacked stone fireplace adds to the ambience. The builder visited a cypress mill and chose a half-rough sawn cypress log from which he fashioned a custom-designed mantel. Other notable features include four flat-screen TVs and an outdoor pool table.
