ORANGE COUNTY
Ryland Homes has started presales at Stratford Green, a 100-unit townhome project off Aloma Avenue near Winter Park. At Stratford Green, the company will showcase its Stonecrest Townhome Series, a newly designed line featuring exterior stone accents and carriage-style garage doors. The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom homes, which range in size from 1,583 to 1,872 square feet, are priced from the $260s. .
In the Windermere area, Ryland has begun construction of its first condominium project, Oasis Cove, located off Reams Road just south of the Walt Disney World employee entrance. The 230 two- and three-bedroom units will be priced from the low $300s. Amenities will include a clubhouse, a pool, a tot lot and a state-of-the-art fitness center. .
Also near Windermere, Ashton Woods Homes has announced Phase III of Lake Reams Town Homes, located off S.R. 535 and Chase Road. There'll be 82 two- and three-bedroom townhomes with courtyards and attached two- and three-car garages. Prices will start in the mid-$200s. .
ICI Homes has opened an 8,000-square-foot Discovery Center at Lighthouse Key Resort & Spa, a fractional ownership resort near Walt Disney World. The facility will house the sales operation for Lighthouse Key's luxury condominiums, which are priced from $360,000 for year-round ownership. There are 80 units now under construction in two buildings. .
Royal Palm has bought 26 acres in Tangerine, north of Apopka, where it will develop 20 homesites for builder R.L. Gordon. New single-family homes will get under way by the spring of 2007. .
Also near Apopka, D.R. Horton Homes has started presales of 177 single-family homes at Overlooks at Errol Estate. The gated community will feature a swimming pool and a cabana and home prices will start in the $230s. .
Models are now open at DiVosta's Village Walk at Lake Nona, a resort-style community combining homes and businesses with lakes and peninsulas connected by pedestrian bridges. Village Walk at Lake Nona will contain some 1,400 homes. .
Also at Lake Nona, 16 new custom homes are planned for Mayfair on the Lake, nestled along the 10th, 17th and 18th holes of the community's Tom Fazio-designed golf course. Lake Nona's preferred custom builders are Akers Custom Homes, Cahill Construction Company, Kamenhoff-Hughes Custom Homes, Maroon Fine Homes and Pelligrini Custom Homes. All have purchased homesites and are building one-of-a-kind homes. .
Real Estate Inverlad, developer of 101 Eola, a luxury highrise in downtown Orlando, has opened a sales center 225 S. Eola Street. 101 Eola has 156 units including 10 penthouses, and prices range from the $250s to the $800s.
SEMINOLE COUNTY
Stirling Sotheby's International Realty is selling townhomes and condominium flats at Notting Hill, an apartment conversion located on Lake Mary Boulevard across from Heathrow. There are 452 units available, many of which face the water, and prices range from the $160s. Amenities include a private clubhouse with a two-story fitness center. .
Stirling has also started sales at Island Club, an exclusive enclave of 37 single-family homes adjacent to Heathrow. Nearly every home will be lakefront and prices will range from the $700s to more than $1.2 million. Irvin Construction Company is the developer. .
Ashton Woods has started construction on a 7,800-square-foot design center on Douglas Avenue in Altamonte Springs. At the center, buyers will be able to choose from more than 1,000 options in window, wall, floor and ceiling treatments as well as cabinetry, counters, appliances, fixtures and even bonus room design. .
Dave Brewer Realty recently marked the grand opening of its new Marketing Center in the Shoppes at Oakmonte in Lake Mary. There buyers will be able to preview all the homes listed by the company.
OSCEOLA COUNTY
D.R. Horton Homes has started presales of 60 townhomes and 200 single-family homes at Anthem Park, located off U.S 192 and U.S. 441 in St. Cloud. Prices for the two-, three- and four-bedroom townhomes will start in the $210s while single-family homes are priced from the $230s. .
Also in St. Cloud, Ryland Homes has started construction on three single-family model homes at Esprit, located off Canoe Creek and Friar's Cove roads. Prices on the models will start in the $300s. The company has more than 500 homesites at Esprit, where community amenities include a pool, a cabana, a picnic area and a tot lot.
EVENTS
The Street of Dreams, Orlando's premier luxury home show, is slated for Saturday, Oct. 14-Sunday, Nov. 26, at Bella Collina in Montverde, a charming Orlando" target="_blank">Lake County community. The 2006 event will feature eight homes priced at up to $14 million and at an average size of 9,500 square feet.
GOOD WORKS
Homebuilders nationwide and Habitat for Humanity recently teamed up for "Home Builders Blitz 2006," during which some 400 homes were built in one week. Local builders participating included Centex Homes, Inland Homes, Mercedes Homes, Transeastern Homes and David Weekly Homes. Each company built a Habitat home on Mandrake Street. Meanwhile, Lexon Homes, Reiche Silliman, Ryland Homes and Park Square Homes each built a Habitat home in Apopka.
