Responsible Remodeling

Green building is all the rage. But green building techniques are just as important in remodeled homes as they are in new homes.

In fact, a qualified remodeling contractor can seamlessly retrofit your home to be eco-friendly even if it was built before anyone had ever heard the term “carbon footprint.”

That’s what this special issue of REMODEL Orlando is all about. On the following pages, we’ll look at some major remodeling projects during which going green was the focus and the goal. Also in this issue, as usual, we have hot products and a directory of pros you can trust.

For those of you who are new to REMODEL Orlando, you should know that this publication is produced as a partnership between Florida Homebuyer Orlando and the Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando.

This publication is one of many ways in which the council reaches out to the community, so I hope that if you’d like to see specific questions answered or topics covered, that you’ll let me know. After all, we’ve got the best minds in the industry standing by to give you the answers.
