Park Square Homes has released 25 oversized luxury homesites for sale at the Estates at Waters Edge in Lake Nona. Two model homes are currently in the design stage, and are priced from the low $500s. ... Park Square has also opened Wolf Creek Ridge at SummerBrooke in Mount Dora, a community of single-family homes, townhomes, Cottage Collection homes and upscale executive homes. Prices start in the $230s. In addition the company has unveiled the Savannah, a two-story, four-bedroom home with a loft or an optional fifth bedroom at Shingle Creek Reserve at The Oaks in Kissimmee. Prices start in the $190s. Also in Kissimmee, the builder has introduced townhomes priced under $200,000 at BellaVida Resort.

The theme at Veranda Palms is health and wellness. The Osceola County community, developed by Park Square Homes, will feature four- and five-bedroom homes priced from the high $200s. Features will include backyard verandahs and herb gardens while a community center will offer yoga, massage therapy and other disciplines for the body and the mind.

ABD Development Company has opened a New-Home Design Center at Providence,-A-Golf-and-Country-Club-Community">Providence Golf & Country Club in the Loughman-Davenport area of Polk County. There homebuyers can take advantage of professional design and decor planning for all ABD communities in the Orlando area. Also in Providence, ABD has opened 15 new ready-to-move-in luxury townhomes at Lakeside Villas. Prices range from the $290s to the $360s.

Emerson International is building 144 new three- and four-bedroom luxury golf villas priced from the high $200s to more than $450,000 at Eagle Creek Golf Community. The 2,329-square-foot Carrington at Curzon Place features four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms with a two-car garage. It’s priced at $425,000.

Ashton Woods Homes will open four new model townhomes at Savannah Park at Heathrow, located off Heathrow International Parkway and Wilson Road in North Seminole County. The two-, three- and four-bedroom townhomes range in size from 1,550 to 1,940 square feet and offer private courtyards. ...In other news from Ashton Woods, only 20 homesites remain at The Cove at the Lakes of Windermere. Henin Group, the Winter Park-based developers of Riviera Bella, a luxury community overlooking the St. Johns River in DeBary, plans a major expansion at the community including a “new generation” of energy-efficient luxury homes aimed at affluent younger buyers concerned about the environment and committed to green lifestyles.

Ryland Homes has rolled back prices on new single-family homes in two Orlando" target="_blank">Lake County communities. The rollbacks affect new-home prices at Grand Island Reserve in Eustis and Windsong in Leesburg, where homes are now priced in the $180s. Ryland has also announced new low pricing at Waterside Pointe in Groveland, where 150 single-family homes in the community’s first phase are now priced from $188,990 and 71 townhomes are now priced from $171,990. Many homesites at Waterside Pointe offer lake frontage on 220-acre Crystal Lake while others front on canals with access to historic Lake Minneola and the Clermont Chain of Lakes.

Beazer Homes is rolling back prices at Victoria Park, where homes are now priced starting at $184,990. The master-planned community is located in historic DeLand in Volusia County.

Centex Homes took the incentive idea to the next level this summer, giving all buyers a certificate worth $10,000 toward design and decor features from the company’s Design Studio, along with zero down payments and zero closing costs. The concept, tagged “Opportunity Knocks,” was aimed at creating business, not reducing inventory. “We need a little bit of a lift,” says Carol-Ann Barody, director of marketing. “To get that, you have to give a little bit away.” ...Centex has also announced new pricing in the $140s for its paired villa homes at Sullivan Ranch in Mount Dora.?

Mercedes Homes is showing models at its Oak Ridge Townhome community in St. Cloud. The Madison offers a 1,463 square-foot, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath for $149,990.? In Sanford, the builder has two- and three-bedroom townhomes planned for Windsor Lakes ranging from 1,051 to 1,800 square feet. Prices start under $130,000.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT -
Despite the downturn in the home-building industry, Central Florida homebuilders Rey Homes and Centex Homes volunteered more than 500 hours of labor and donated all tools, supplies and materials to build two Habitat for Humanity houses during the month of June. Their efforts are part of the non-profit’s Home Builders Blitz 2008, the largest affordable housing initiative in the United States.
