Lennar has started construction of two new model homes at Crestview at Stoneybrook Hills, located on U.S. 441 south of S.R. 46 in Mount Dora. The builder is introducing four new floorplans that range in size from 1,352 to 1,840 square feet with prices start- ing in the mid-$100s.
ORANGE COUNTY
Mattamy Homes, the U.S.
division of Canada’s largest
home builder, is starting presales of three-story “City Homes” at Baldwin Park. Sixty-eight homes will be available at the community, which is located at Meeting Place off New Broad Street. Homes will range in size from 1,900 to 2,283 square feet with prices starting from about $250,000. Two models will get under way in July and be ready for viewing in October.
A new Taylor Morrison model home at Carriage Pointe in Winter Garden is now open for tours. The 3,125-square-foot Lafayette features five bedrooms, four bathrooms and an outdoor living space with covered lanai. There’s also a three-car garage with a bonus room. The two-story design— priced from $327,990— is one of nine floorplans available.
Beazer Homes has started construction of four new single-family homes at Legacy, a gated lakefront community. The homes range in size from 2,284 to 4,000 square feet with four, five or six bedrooms. Prices range from $299,990 to more than $880,000. The four homes now under construction are scheduled to be completed in August. Only 45 homesites—including six lakefront—remain for sale at the community, which sits on Lake Jessamine.
OSCEOLA COUNTY
Avatar Homes is now offering Mediterranean-style homes priced from $207,939 in Stillwater Landing, one of nine neighborhoods in Bellalago/Isles of Bellalago. Homes in the Classico Series range in size from 1,553 to 2,430 square feet and
sit on 125-foot-deep homesites. All feature tile roofs as well as brick paver driveways, walkways and entries. The Kissimmee community is located on Lake Tohopekaliga; it has 400 acres of inland lakes
and waterways and two amenity complexes.
SEMINOLE COUNTY
Phase one of the gated luxury community of Grande Oaks at Heathrow is nearly sold out. Only five of the original 46 two-story townhomes remain for sale. The three-bedroom units range in size from 2,395 to 2,843 square feet with prices starting in the mid-$250s. Kolter Homes is developing the Lake Mary community, which has a private lakefront recreation center with a fitness center, meeting rooms, a pool and a spa. A second phase is under way.
Beazer Homes has started construction of seven new townhomes at Heritage Commons, a gated community in Winter Springs. Units are available with two, three or four bedrooms and range in size from 1,313 to 1,800 square feet. Prices start from the $150s. The gated community is located two miles west of S.R. 417 at Red Bug Lake Road.
VOLUSIA COUNTY
KB Home just opened a new model at its Cypress Place community in Ormond Beach. Cypress Place is located within the Hunter’s Ridge master-planned community where residents enjoy access to tennis courts, a tot lot with picnic tables, a swimming pool, a fishing dock, lakes, a clubhouse and walking trails.? Homebuyers can choose from 10 floorplans ranging in size from 1,266 to 3,007 square feet and offering three to five bedrooms and two to two-and-a-half bathrooms. Prices start in the low $130s.
In other news from KB Home, the builder is set to open its newest model in the Martha Stewart- inspired community of Deer Creek, also located in Ormond Beach. The company has partnered with the lifestyle diva to offer seven spacious floorplans with your choice of three exteriors: Katonah, Skylands and Dunemere. Homes are priced from the mid-$160s.

Several Central Florida communities earned spots on Where to Retire magazine’s list of best communities for retirees. Solivita in Poinciana landed a spot on the magazine’s America’s 100 best master-planned communities list for the fourth straight year, while Harmony made the list for the third straight time.? Others making the list were Baldwin Park, Heritage Isle in Viera and Lakes of Mount Dora in Orlando" target="_blank">Lake County.
