Legacy Custom Built Homes constructed the 2018 New American Home, which was the show home for the National Association of Home Builders’ Intentional Builders’ Show, held in Orlando. The modern Mediterranean-style masterpiece, located in Bella Collina in Monteverde, was also the Grand Award winner during the recent Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Greater Orlando Builders Association.

LEGACIES ARE BUILT THROUGH A FIVE-STEP PROCESS

For Legacy Custom Built Homes, being a builder with an enduring commitment to luxury, quality and exceptional customer service is the result of a process. Literally.

Legacy, which has communities in Lake Nona (Laureate Park) in east Orlando, Reunion Resort in Osceola County and Winter Park in Orange County, specializes in all aspects of building, providing pre-construction and construction services including budgeting, architect selection, design development and problem solving.

The company also built the 2018 New American Home, the spectacular show home for the International Builders’ Show, sponsored annually by the National Association of Homebuilders. The Mediterranean-style masterpiece is located in the Lake County community of Montverde

Yet, Legacy has earned its reputation for excellence, transparency and integrity by virtue of a five-step process — a project-management system that regards building homes as an actual journey.

Add to that an extensive knowledge base of the Central Florida market, and Legacy has all the literal and figurative tools to achieve its stated mission of providing “uncompromised quality workmanship, professional service and integrity.”

Legacy's Step 1 is the concept. Here, the buyer can begin to visualize what the home will look like from the inside out, with 24/7 access through an online portal to review architectural plans, structural engineering details and up-to-date status of permitting. The portal also enables buyers to receive weekly reports, calendar updates and progress photos.

Step 2 is all about design — personalizing the home with design selections for each living space, both inside and outside. Legacy offers "360-degree options" that can be managed through its portal, enabling buyers to match details with visions.

In Step 3, Legacy hosts a pre-construction and framing walk-through to review plans, design selections and construction protocols. The on-site meetings are intended to provide explanations about budget, schedule and expectations — again with the knowledge that the online portal is always available to track progress.

Closer to construction completion, Step 4 of the process encompasses an orientation — a final walk-through to review key features and their maintenance. The buyer also gets a new-home manual, user/owner instructions and summary of design selections. (Notably, every Legacy home is green certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition.)

Step 5 is presentation of Legacy's two-year warranty. Then, of course, it's time to move in.

The process — the journey — is an uncommon approach that infuses a sense of tradition while combining new technology and energy-saving applications.
