A.R. BAILEY MAKES A SPLASH WITH ITS CANOPY OAKS MODEL

There’s nothing quite like making an immediate impression. That’s what A.R. Bailey Homes — which just opened its doors this past spring — did at the recent Southeast Building Conference (SEBC), held in Orlando.

The brand-new company’s Sanibel model at Canopy Oaks in Winter Garden won a prestigious Excel Award for “Best Model in Florida” in the $500,000 to $1 million price range. That’s one of the most competitive SEBC categories, so winning the award was quite a coup.

The Sanibel features classic Mediterranean architecture, luxurious interior design details and an owner’s suite and bath that also won an award during the 2016 Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA).

The home is one of three models offered by A.R. Bailey at Canopy Oaks, located on Roper Road between Winter Garden’s downtown historic district and the Winter Garden Village shopping complex. Homes in Canopy Oaks have up to 4,600 square feet and are priced from the low $600s.

“We’re introducing ‘The New Look of the Dream Home,’ with fresh, new designs,” says Mason Simpson, who’s developing Canopy Oaks. “The Excel Award judges are industry experts who recognized our attention to detail in the design and the efficiency of the floorplan. The Sanibel answers the needs of today’s lifestyles like no other home in this price range.”

Interior features and appointments also set the Sanibel apart. According to CEO Tom Garver, many standard features on homes at Canopy Oaks are either offered only as upgrades or are unavailable at other communities. Those features include arched solid-wood double-entry doors, hideaway telescoping sliding-glass doors, staircases with stained-wood treads and hand-forged iron railings, and opulent owner’s baths with the latest fixtures and finishes.

Best of all, A.R. Bailey has inventory homes in Canopy Oaks — which means you can move in right away.

The SEBC is the largest building-industry trade show in the southeastern U.S., encompassing 11 states. Judges for the Excel Awards include industry experts in homebuilding, new-home design, interior design and marketing.

Canopy Oaks is being developed by Canopy Oaks Development Company LLC in partnership with A.R. Bailey. Canopy Oaks Development Company is headed by Simpson, one of South Florida’s most respected luxury builders. Over the past 35 years, Simpson has spearheaded development of more than 2,000 homes throughout Florida.

Garver and Rob Smith, owners of St. Cloud-based A.R. Bailey, have built more than 10,000 homes over the past 20 years. This summer, the company was named to the Orlando Business Journal’s “Fast 50,” which recognizes the region’s fastest-growing companies.

“We studied the market for luxury move-up homes and created designs that are distinctively different,” says Garver. “Canopy Oaks feels like a custom-home neighborhood without the custom-home price. You won’t find another community like it in Orlando.”
