KB'S 3737 MODEL: BIG, BEAUTIFUL AND FLEXIBLE

KB Home doesn’t pay a marketing guru to come up with fancy, clever or evocative names for it models. It names them for the square footage they contain.

For example, when you see a reference to the 3737, you know right away that it’s a big home, at 3,737 square feet. But a home is much more than merely the space that it encompasses — and the 3737 is much more than a lot of space.

Priced from $349,990, the two-story 3737 delivers a lot of bang for the buck. But it’s configured in a practical way, with an abundance of open areas where family and friends can gather.

You can choose from among five elevations, so your 3737 won’t necessarily look like your neighbor’s. All have a two-car garage on the left, with a covered entryway on the right. But beyond that, the rooflines and details are quite different; one has a Craftsman feel, another has Mediterranean touches.

Inside, the 3737 really pours on the “wow” factor. To the right of the entryway is a cozy den (or you can use it as a bedroom) with an adjacent powder room. Beyond, however, the territory really opens up, with a combined living and dining room and a family room separated only by a low wall.

The combined kitchen and dining nook, situated behind the garage and to the left of the family room and dining room, is a knockout, with a massive island (a raised breakfast bar is one of many options) and a walk-in pantry. There’s a covered porch at the rear, accessible via sliding glass doors in the nook.

Upstairs at the front is a large game room (or another bedroom) backed by a lavish master suite with a large bathroom and a walk-in closet. There are also walk-in closets in the secondary bedrooms.

KB always makes it easy to personalize your home. The company’s website (kbhome.com) has interactive floorplans where you can review all the options and watch as the drawing reconfigures itself to suit your needs.

You can, for example, expand the garage and the patio and select from a number of kitchen and bath upgrades. You can also convert storage rooms to powder rooms.

Like all KB models, the 3737 is Energy Star-qualified, meaning it’s built to the highest standards of energy efficiency and certified by a third-party inspector.

You really need to see this home to fully appreciate it. And you can at Orchard Park in Winter Garden, where KB has a fully decorated model with all the bells and whistles, including a pool and an outdoor kitchen.

Orchard Park is a hot community, where amenities will include a tot lot, pool, cabana, softball field, open play area and dog parks. It’s close to fitness trails and playgrounds at West Orange Park and convenient to the Butler Chain of Lakes for recreation and boating.
