THE HEART OF THE HOME

The Palazzo Lago's kitchen combines contemporary chic with old-fashioned warmth.

If you’d like to marvel at a truly state-of-the-art kitchen — one that’s as beautiful as it is functional — check out the kitchen in Silliman Homes’ Palazzo Lago, a $2.9 million, 7,628-square-foot stunner in Waterstone, an upscale community in Windermere. The home boasts a particularly intriguing kitchen that showcases several leading-edge trends. Note, for example, the oversized light fixtures above the larger of two islands and the prominent “statement pieces” that add visual interest. Also check out the multiple sinks, sleek finishes and rich wood cabinetry as well as the array of intriguing nooks. Silliman’s “platinum” appliance package includes a Wolfe steam convection oven and MotionSense Arbor faucets. The architect for the Palazzo Lago was  Canin and Associates and the interior designer was Masterpiece Design Group. The kitchen was by Central Kitchen and Bath. Obviously, the kitchen isn’t the only thing special about the Palazzo Lago; it won the Custom Home Grand Award in the 2013 Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Greater Orlando Builders Association.
