RICHMOND AMERICAN MAKES A STATEMENT IN ORLANDO
In Central Florida they may be the new kids in town, but Richmond American Homes and its subsidiaries have been designing and building new homes across the nation for more than three decades.
M.D.C. Holdings, owner of Richmond American and other home-related subsidiaries, have built and financed the American dream for more than 170,000 families since 1972, making it one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S.
The company’s recent foray into Orlando — it has been building in Jacksonville for more than 10 years — has found it establishing a presence in some of the region’s premier communities, including Brynmar and Westyn Bay in Ocoee, Providence in Davenport and the lakeside community of Bella Lago in Clermont.
Richmond American has brought along a portfolio of its top-selling floorplans from other markets while designing homes specifically for the active lifestyles enjoyed by Central Floridians.
“In today’s homebuilding industry, there’s no better place to be than Orlando,” says Richmond American Homes Central Florida Division President Gerry Boeneman. “That’s why it was important for us to have a presence here.”
After examining various economic factors and demographic trends, Boeneman believes that Orlando is perfectly positioned to remain vibrant and thriving market for many years to come.
And Richmond American plans to play a major role. By this time next year, the company expects to be offering homes in no fewer than a dozen communities throughout the region.
