1. Rita Williams Merchandising Plus received a total of 17 awards at the 2006 Southeast Building Conference, held in Orlando. Rita Williams (far left) and her team won nine Excel Awards for excellence in interior merchandising and marketing. The company also took home five regional Aurora Awards and three Grand Aurora Awards for design excellence. In addition to Williams, a member of the Florida Housing Hall of Fame, other Merchandising Plus team members include (left to right) Sharon Blank, Kate Schmidt and Terry Duguid.

2. Groundbreaking was held for The Chelsea Lofts, a new 20-home project in Jacksonville's historic Riverside neighborhood. Cranewood Development is offering $10,000 toward the purchase of each residence as well as a choice of incentives, such as a Vespa motor scooter, one year paid homeowners' association fees or a plasma screen TV. The project offers a choice of seven floorplans ranging in size from 1,065 to 1,626 square feet. On hand for the event were (left to right) Chris Donovan with Lifestyles Realtors, Cliff Duch with Cronk Duch Partners, Andy Howe with HCM Construction and David Barton with AmSouth Bank.

3. ICI Homes of Jacksonville recently held an invitation-only Realtor preview and a public grand opening to debut two luxurious model homes at the Villages of Westport, located on Jacksonville's Northside. The models, dubbed the Canterbury and the Ashley III, boast 2,660 and 2,398 square feet of living area, respectively. Shown are (left to right) David Miller with ICI Land and Communities, Karen Sutherland with ICI Homes' North Florida Division and Bill Thees and Gary Webber, both of whom are ICI sales associates.

4. Mattamy Homes recently hosted an exclusive Realtor open house at the Taylor model in Kensington, located in Northwest St. Augustine. A luncheon, entertainment and prizes highlighted off the Caribbean-themed affair. Mattamy Homes staffers were on hand to answer questions. Bruce Lingerfelt has been appointed senior vice president of Toll Brothers' Jacksonville Division. Lingerfelt has been with the company since 1996, and has been in the real estate development business for more than 38 years. .Linda Hutchins has been promoted to Northeast Florida regional sales manager by the LandMar Group. Hutchins had previously been the regional sales and marketing manager for the company's projects in Southeast Georgia. .Rick Allain recently joined Prudential Network Realty as a member of the company's Ponte Vedra sales team. Allain was named head coach of Jacksonville's pro hockey team, the Barracudas, this spring. . The Pineapple Corporation has promoted Tony Ponton to project manager for the company's semi-custom home communities of Villini and Palermo. Ponton had previously been a construction manager for all homes within those communities.
