Flush-mount fixtures are typically used in smaller areas with low ceilings, such as hallways, closets, laundry rooms or bathrooms. Semi-flush fixtures are ideal for kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms and foyers, and help give the illusion of a higher ceiling.
