NUMBERS DON'T LIE: A TURNAROUND IS UNDER WAY, AND THE TIME TO BUY IS NOW
The numbers don’t lie. Building permits for Northeast Florida, which measure the pulse of the new construction market, are up more than 30 percent in the first quarter of 2012 from the same time period last year.
To maintain this momentum, builders are doing a great job of purchasing land at a great price and developing homes that offer tremendous value, making now a great time to be in the market for a new home.
The Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) has a long history of fostering growth and providing education, for both industry mem-bers and the public. In 2012 we’re continuing to build on that legacy.
With an eye on showing off the area’s newest homes and latest home trends, NEFBA hosted its annual Parade of Homes in April. The big event featured 64 brand-new model homes in Duval, Nassau, St. Johns and Clay counties. Prospective buyers were able to tour the best-built, best-designed new homes in the region.
The parade is over, but the homes are still open. Check our website, jacksonville.com/paradeofhomes, to see the entries on-line and plan a post-parade tour.
NEFBA is always working to have its voice heard regarding the industry’s top issues. It’s
also focused on strengthening membership
communication and services while supporting community service programs such as Builders
Care, which provides much-needed construct-ion services for senior, disabled and low-income individuals.
As the housing industry continues its positive path toward a turnaround, NEFBA will continue its mission of making certain that everyone has the opportunity to own a home.
