The RiverTown community and its and its builders recently welcomed 80 Realtors for a sneak peek at two new model homes and the nearly completed Riverfront Park. Realtors enjoyed lunch and toured decorated models by David Weekley Homes and Dennis Homes. They also saw a Mattamy Homes model under construction and toured the new community pier on the St. Johns River. Ten lucky Realtors won $50 gift cards during a raffle drawing. Members of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) and its Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) showed their giving spirit by taking part in charitable activities during the holiday season. The 7th annual SMC Holiday Auction featured Bill Elrod of Elrod Auctions hawking a wide array of items contributed by members. A portion of the proceeds benefited youngsters at Daniel, a multi-service agency that assists children, adolescents and families. Shown are (left to right): 2011 NEFBA President Michael Bourré of Bourré Construction Group; 2011 SMC Chairperson Amber Williams of David Weekley Homes; Jacksonville Sheriff John Rutherford; and Elrod. And the teddy bears? Attendees brought fuzzy guests to donate to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Department, which in turn passed them along to needy kids.
