BMMC

BMMC transformed a dated one-bedroom, one-bathroom concrete home into an eco-friendly, energy-efficient showplace with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The remodeler gutted the home, reworked the footprint, rerouted the plumbing and expanded the home from 800 to 1,306 square feet. Among the green features are highly efficient insulation, a 13 SEER heat pump, double-insulated low-e windows, Energy Star-rated appliances and paint with low Volatile Organic Compounds. Hurricane panels were installed over windows and doors. Also, to lessen the impact on the environment, the remodeler recycled existing materials and mixed buckets of leftover synthetic stucco to create one usable color. A new patio and summer kitchen helped create a more inviting outdoor living space.

Cool Product: A new red brick paver driveway leads to the home’s new garage.
