1. Daniel Davis, executive director of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), took the oath of office as the president of Jacksonville" target="_blank">Jacksonville’s City Council recently at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. Davis’s wife Rebekah and their four children assisted with the oath. Ronnie Fussell, former NEFBA president, was also sworn in as council vice president.

2. East San Marco LLC, a joint venture between The St. Joe Company and Regency Centers, hosted a “Summer in the Park” event recently to highlight Parkside at East San Marco, a 32-unit condominium and townhome development across from Fletcher Park in historic San Marco. Guests enjoyed an authentic San Marco experience complete with jazz music and food from several San Marco restaurants. 3. There was dancing in the streets as hundreds of Realtors were recently introduced to Palencia’s newest neighborhood, Bella Terra. Four models from ICI Homes’ European Collection—The Castillo, The Milan, The Portofino and The Versailles—were open for viewing. 4. Groundbreaking was recently held for Old San Jose on the River, a new Mediterranean-Revival-style community that abuts one of the widest expanses of the St. Johns River in the San Jose/San Marco area. Pocket parks and gardens are planned, leading to a riverfront strolling plaza and a park where stone staircases will lead to the “Riverview Gallery,” an outdoor gathering space featuring an infinity-edge pool. The community will also offer a fitness center and boat slips. Buyers may choose from condominiums, townhomes and coach homes. Prudential Network Realty founder, president and CEO Linda Sherrer was honored recently by the Jacksonville" target="_blank">Jacksonville Business Journal as an Ultimate CEO. She was the only woman among the dozen CEOs selected by the newspaper. ... Also at Prudential Network Realty, Pat Smith has been named broker/manager for the company’s new St. Augustine Beach office, located on Anastasia Island. Smith is a past president and founding member of the St. Augustine Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. ... Jo Ann Bennett has joined the sales team of Floridian Lifestyles Realty and will head off-site sales for the Berkman 2 high-rise project in downtown Jacksonville" target="_blank">Jacksonville. Bennett has more than 15 years experience in real estate sales. ... Arnold Tritt, executive advisor at the Northeast Florida Builders Association, was elected into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame, it was announced at the Southeast Building Conference in July. Tritt served the association as its executive director for 34 years. In his long career, Tritt earned a reputation for being a tireless advocate of the industry and a champion of affordable housing.
