Guests enjoyed cool champagne and hot jazz at the grand opening of the Laterra Links at World Golf Village amenity center and clubhouse. The 7,000-square-foot dual buildings, which overlook a resort-style pool and hot tub, were built by CORE Construction. The coach home community is being developed by Bateman & Martin Developments. Amelia National Golf & Country Club recently unveiled its 25,000-square-foot French Provincial-style clubhouse to a crowd of more than 200 invited guests. Designed by Ervin Lovett & Miller and built by ICI Homes, the state-of-the-art facility boasts a resort-style swimming pool, a golf shop, formal and casual dining rooms and a lounge. Palencia kicked off the holiday season with a six-week event featuring four seasonally decorated models at ICI Homes' Bella Terra community. Holiday Show Homes 2007 drew approximately 10,000 visitors, who toured decorated model homes, shopped at holiday specialty shops located in the garage of each model and participated in a golf tournament and a nighttime 5K race. All proceeds were donated to local charitable groups, including Builders Care, The Women and Children's Center of the Trinity Rescue Mission, St. Francis House and the Jacksonville Humane Society. Employees at Prudential Network Realty sponsored the first annual St. Augustine Art Walk for Breast Cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The entire staff of Prudential's St. Augustine Beach office volunteered during the event, which showcased galleries in historic St. Augustine. All proceeds went to four Northeast Florida breast cancer organizations: The Donna Hicken Foundation, Keep a Breast, the Bosom Buddies program at the Women's Center of Jacksonville and St. Augustine-based Art Breakers foundation.

The Hutson Companies recently an-nounced several organizational changes. Owner David Hutson is assuming the role of president along with his current duties as chairman and CEO. Also announced were the promotions of Rachael Bennett to vice-president of land development, Erik Wilson to senior vice-president and the hire of Travis Hutson as vice president of sales and acquisitions. ...LandMar's Osprey Cove community in St. Marys was named as one of "America's Top 100 Best Master-Planned Communities" by Where to Retire magazine. ... Mercedes Homes was recently awarded its second National Quality Housing Award by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center and Reed Business Information. The company, which received the honor based on the role of quality in such areas as construction, strategic planning and customer satisfaction, is one of only four companies to be a two-time national winner and the only Florida-based homebuilder to receive a 2008 award. ...Ann King has joined the sales team at the St. Augustine office of Prudential Network Realty. King was named one of the "Best St. Augustine Real Estate Agents for 2006" and specializes in exclusive, luxury homes in the St. Augustine and Beaches areas.
