1. Fourteen past presidents of the Northeast Florida Builders Association were treated to a lunch cruise to celebrate Presidents Day. 2. The Donna Hicken Foundation and CornerStone Homes recently hosted an open house for this year's "Give Hope A Home" project in MuraBella. The 3,230-square-foot home was priced at $475,000, and proceeds from its sale will benefit First Coast women afflicted with breast cancer. Hicken, news anchor at WTLV NBC-12 and a two-time breast cancer survivor, shares a laugh with Woodsman's Jodi Schoenfeld, CornerStone's Mark Downing and his wife, Becky, and The Donna Hicken Foundation's Julie Terrazzano and her husband, Scott.

3. The Welcome Center team is ready to greet potential homebuyers at St. Johns Forest, a Taylor Woodrow community on C.R. 210 in northern St. Johns County. Shown are Cheryl Hoke, office administrator, and Welcome Center coordinators Heather Hardin, Peggy Justice and Lisa Owens. Builders at St. Johns Forest, including Toll Brothers, ICI Homes, David Weekley Homes and Morrison Homes, are offering spacious new home designs that include open floor plans, gourmet kitchens and brick elevations.

4. The youngest residents at the I.M. Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless now have a place of their own with the opening of the William R. and Frances B. Barnett Children's Building. The project was completed thanks in part to the donation of construction services by the W.G. Pitts Company and the Northeast Division of D.R. Horton Homes. Children from the center celebrated the opening with, left to right, Amber Williams, Ricky Fowler and Andy Fremento of D.R. Horton and Will Pitts and Don Dykes of W.G. Pitts.

John Afflebach has been promoted to Central Florida regional marketing manager by the LandMar Group. In his new role, Afflebach is responsible for LandMar's marketing needs in the Central Florida Region, including projects in Palm Coast. .Engle Homes has added Nancy Crocker to the firm as director of marketing and research. Crocker will oversee the firm's print, radio and television advertising placement and manage grand openings, marketing and public relations efforts. .The Pineapple Corporation has promoted Spencer T. Calvert to executive vice president/chief financial officer and Don Milner to senior vice president of semi-custom operations. .Todd VonNieda has been promoted to vice president of operations for Morrison Homes. In his new role, VonNieda will oversee Morrison Homes' daily operations as well as all future land purchases throughout Northeast Florida.
