Elegant and Spacious

The owners of this circa-1920s home wanted their cramped master bathroom to have more storage space and a more open feel. By incorporating square footage from an adjacent hallway and built-in closet area, The Turnage Company created an elegant, spacious room with luxury touches such as bead board wainscoting, custom cabinetry, marble mosaic floors and Silestone quartz countertops. Four hidden medicine cabinets and additional collectible display areas solved the storage problem.

Save the Blocks

Function and fashion had both been sacrificed in this master bathroom, which included an oversized water closet, an inconvenient step-down shower and an awkwardly placed door leading to the master bedroom. Following the homeowner’s request to save the glass block exterior of the shower, BeeTree Homes demolished everything else and changed the elevation of the shower while repositioning the water closet door at an angle. The door leading to the bedroom was replaced by a three-foot pocket door to save space while maintaining privacy. And a new Kohler tub and toilet, taller Wellborn cabinetry and double sinks improved functionality.

A Five-Star Feel

These homeowners wanted their bathroom to equal any they’d seen in five-star resorts. So Kristi Wyndham Designs and Horn Builders pulled out all the stops on this special project. A total of 130 square feet was added to the bathroom while an additional 260 square feet was used to create a separate "hers" closet. His-and-hers commode rooms each boast plasma TVs, and a stone waterfall flows behind a jetted tub. The large walk-through shower has two 24-inch rain heads, 12 body sprays and a heated pebble stone floor. The cabinetry by Grabill Custom features a signature paint/glaze "Zen" finish to give the space a tranquil feel.

Room With a View

These homeowners had strict monetary limitations and an ambitious list of requirements. Staying within the budgetary constraints, remodeler Tom Trout created a master bathroom with a large soaking tub for two, separate his-and-hers vanities and an enclosed water closet. The room also has a spacious shower and easy access to his-and-hers closets. But the real highlight is the spectacular riverfront view that can be enjoyed tubside.

Arts-and-Crafts Cabinetry

Consumers have an array of bathroom cabinetry styles from which to choose, ranging from traditional to contemporary and everything in between. The clean lines of this bathroom, remodeled by Bowen Wilderman, compliment the architecture of this bungalow-style home. Arts-and-Crafts cabinetry and period hardware by Delta complete the effect.

Historical Integrity

Dark cabinets and matching mirrors were used in this project by Lawrence Murr Remodeling. White countertops, traditional hardware and sconces maintain a traditional look in keeping with the historical integrity of the home’s interior.

Luxurious Finishes

Beautiful onyx accents on the floors, insets, door casings, chair rails and vanity in this project by Belmarmi, importers and fabricators of granite, marble and stone, create a luxurious ambience. Alongside custom cabinetry, gold marble wainscoting and shower walls add just the right amount of softening color.

Super Shower

Extra large showers, like this one installed by Aurora Custom Remodeling,
are all the rage. These homeowners eliminated their tub and replaced it with this spa-inspired frameless glass Amirrortech shower with multiple Moen showerheads, hand shower and body sprays.
