What kind of year did you have in 2004?
We had a great year in 2004 and expect to exceed last year's sales volume by 30 percent; but all of us in the homebuilding industry have experienced significant cost increases for material and labor during the past 12 months.
How do you think the market will be in 2005?
I think 2005 will be steady, but I believe we'll continue to see an increased cost of goods and labor shortages.
What are the most important things a buyer looks for when visiting a new home?
Location, design and interior amenities like gourmet kitchens and luxurious owners' suites are always important.
What are the most notable trends in new home design and construction you've noticed this past year?
People are nesting now more than ever. So we're seeing larger homes designed for entertaining and much more attention being given to safety and construction components.
